Sadho, which literally means ‘O Sage’, is a voluntary organization
that aims at taking great ‘poetry to people’ through the innovative use of art, media and social action...

A collaborative effort between filmmakers and the Sadho core team.

In the last few years 8 short poetry films have been made under the project.

These include films based on the poetry of Kashmiri Saint poets Lal Ded and Sheikh Noorudin, Japanese Haiku masters Issa, Basho & Kikaku, Legendary Hindi poet Nirala, ancient Sanskrit hymns and poems by children, among others.

These films have struck a chord with the viewers. The prestigious Viewers Choice Award' in the first and the second festivals were won by films made under the project.'The Best Student Film Award' at the second festival was also bagged by a film made by a young filmmaker under this project, on a poem published in 'Sadho Kids'
