Sadho, which literally means ‘O Sage’, is a voluntary organization
that aims at taking great ‘poetry to people’ through the innovative use of art, media and social action...

Sadho Poetry Film Festival has featured three lovely short films made by children or on their poetry. Incidentally the poets were first published in the Sadho Kids - Set 1 of young poets. Two of these films were made by two young filmmakers, then aged only thirteen.

Chail: This short poetry film was made by Sidharth Saxena, on a poem by the same name, written by him, published earlier on the Sadho website. The film was awarded the 'Best Student Film Award' by the Sadho Jury at the 2nd Sadho Poetry Film Fest 2009-10. Sidharth not only wrote the poem and directed the film, he also did most of the camera-work and all of editing, and music.

Ek Sapna (A Dream): The film was a result of the creativity of three siblings. Anagha Mudgal wrote the poem, which was published on the Sadho website. Her twin sister Adya did a wonderful recitation and their elder brother Shashwat, then aged only thirteen made a short animated film. The film was made using open source software.

A Film on a poem by Varsha: Another film was made, not by a young filmmaker, but on a poem by a young child. Varsha Gurumurthy was one of the poets published in the first set of young poets by Sadho. One of her poems was made into a film by Biju Vishwanath.
