Poetry Films Project
Sadho Poetry Films Project is a collaboration between experienced filmmakers and the Sadho core team to to make poetry films. Sadho helps in terms of poetry selections, creative and material support. Select films made under the project are also presented at Sadho Poetry Film Fest. The project was initiated in August 2007 and now finds an extension in the Sadho Poetry Films Workshops.

Panun Pan Parzan (Realize Thyself)
The film ‘Panun Pan Parzan’ seeks to rekindle the sensibilities of all concerned towards the social-spiritual solution by reminding of the message of two of the greatest of Kashmiri saint poets, Lal Ded- a Hindu spiritual saint poet and Sheikh Noorudin- a Moslem spiritual saint poet. This film by journalist filmmaker Parijat Kaul won the ‘Viewers’ Choice Award’ at the 2nd Sadho Poetry Film Fest 2009-10.
‘Chail’ is a poetry film by Sidharth Saxena about a quaint hill station in Himachal Pradesh based on a poem by the same name that he wrote in 2008. It was published in the ‘Kid’s Corner’ on the ‘Sadho’ website. Sidharth was 13 in 2009, the year the film was made. It won the ‘Best Student Film Award’ at the 2nd Sadho Poetry Film Fest 2009-10.
A contemporary interpretation of a famous Hindi poem by the legendary Suryakant Tripathi Nirala. Poet, media scholar & film-maker Pragati Saxena places Nirala’s poem about a woman crushing stones on a road to Allahabad in the context of a modern metropolis, its mindless construction and the human misery of those who build high-rises and yet struggle to make the two ends meet.

A Poetry-Film by filmmaker-animator Sidharth Pratap Singh on a delightful Hindi poem by Sarveshwar Dayal Saxena. The film won the ‘Viewers’ Choice Award’ at the 1st Sadho Poetry Film Fest 2007-08.
A new version of an abstract Poetry-Film by Photographer-Painter-Filmmaker Amtojh Sandhu. The film is a personal portrayal of the philosophical essence of an ancient Sanskrit prayer.
